Natural Fertility Treatment

Let's be honest, trying to conceive can be absolutely physically and emotionally exhausting. We are taught at school that having sex once will land you pregnant. At 16 that's terrifying and we do everything we can to avoid that happening! However, when we are suddenly ready we realise it's not always that straightforward. A lot of my clients have felt helpless and hopeless about not being able to conceive or keep a pregnancy until they begin to understand that there is a lot they can do to improve their fertility. The biggest chance of success comes when clients fully immerse themselves into making  lifestyle changes. This can include taking the recommended supplements, making dietary changes and working through any emotional blockages.

For some, extra help is the only option. IVF is an extremely intense process for both partners. Kinesiology is fantastic for supporting the body and mind throughout the process and getting you into the best possible balance. Studies have shown that supplementing with certain nutrients may help to improve both natural and assisted conception.

5 ways to start improving natural fertility

All suggestions are for both partners unless otherwise stated.

  1. Consider eliminating wheat and milk from your diet.

  2. Stay hydrated! Everyone has slightly different requirements although 2 litres is a good start!

  3. Keep sugar to a minimum including fruit sugars.

  4. Take the correct form of Zinc, trace minerals, omega 3 and B vitamins. Zinc improves the quality of eggs and sperm tails (to help them swim stronger and faster). Trace minerals act as catalysts for many bodily functions. Omega 3 will help soften the eggs (allowing them to be more permeable) and strengthen the sperm. B vitamins help adapt and reduce the stress cycle within the body. These will be tested during your appointment.

  5. Make time for joy, find what makes you happy and allow time for it.

Can Kinesiology really help improve fertility?

Don't take my word for it, see my Kinesiology Babies -  Kinesiology could be the answer.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy

Firstly congratulations! So now what happens? Pregnancy sees the biggest hormonal shift in your body,  yet you want to make sure you keep as balanced as you can for you and your baby. Nutrition in pregnancy is absolutely crucial.   Your body is building another human and needs the specialist tools for the job! Not only are the hormones changing, but so is your structure. Keeping your pelvis sitting in the right place, particularly towards the end of pregnancy can help to alleviate pain and mobility issues.

Stress free mamas tend to produce stress free babies who are happy and importantly who sleep! Within Kinesiology we have many tools to help work through the fears associated with pregnancy and labour as well as supporting your stress hormones to keep you feeling relaxed throughout.

I would love to start working with you from 12 weeks right up until full term.

Post Natal

Post-Natal

Babies are wonderful little nutrient sponges -  throughout pregnancy they take as much as they need but this is sometimes to the detriment of Mum. Women are often left depleted and exhausted after pregnancy from a combination of nutritional deficiency, lack of sleep and unsettled hormones. Postnatal depression affects 1 in 10 women within a year of giving birth. With the right nutritional, emotional and hormonal support I feel this could be reduced.

The structure can be left misaligned after pregnancy, particularly after a difficult birth. The last thing you need with a new baby is pain and discomfort! Kinesiology assesses which muscles are out of balance and how we can get them functioning well again.

Looking after yourself after such a life changing experience is so important. Remember, happy mama = happy baby!
